I have a Squire Jagmaster that I bought to use as a practice guitar. Because I go straight from work to practice for one of my bands, I needed something that could sit in a hot car all day (in Florida) without too much worry about damage. It is a 25.5" scale model that I bought new from MF in 2001.

The Jagmaster I used to play at GC was a silver sparkle one with a black single ply pickguard. I'm thinking that the neck was 25.5" scale because it felt like a full sized guitar to me. I prefer the long scale length of my silver jagmasters and the jazz, but not the fat pickups.One jagmaster is stock, with two standard humbuckers.

They're totally different guitars, despite looking almost identical in some ways - the critical difference is the scale length. The Jag's short 24" scale can be a bit cramped for some people, and gives it a percussive, biting but also thick tone - hard to describe, and more 'different' than the Jazzmaster. The Jazzmaster has a normal fender 25
